What’s in a name?

Our name Solchiki is a mashup of two Korean words:

soljiki (솔직히) meaning “frankly” &

chikin (치킨) meaning “fried chicken”.

It represents our passion for introducing delicious Korean fried chicken to South Floridians in a way that’s simple, authentic and fun. We are committed to using quality ingredients and making our menu as accessible as possible.

 FAQs

  • Solchiki was founded in 2023, and sold its first piece of chicken in Spring 2024.

  • Our co-founder and head chef Hansol Bae was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Upon moving to South Florida, he enjoyed American style fried chicken but missed the fried chicken from his hometown. Korean fried chicken is unique in how it's battered, fried, and sauced. He realized that South Florida was in desperate need of some good Korean fried chicken options and thus, Solchiki was born.

  • Yes! The Korean fried chicken wings and boneless are served with a side of pickled daikon cubes (the traditional pairing in Korea) and our signature kimchi coleslaw. You can also add fries to any fried chicken order as a side combo.
